BLB&G Partner Preethi Krishnamurthy served as a guest lecturer at the Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto on May 5. She led a presentation titled “U.S. Regulatory and Enforcement Changes Impacting Investor Protections,” exploring key developments in U.S. securities oversight, shifts in SEC policies and enforcement priorities, and changes to Delaware corporate law.
Preethi practices securities fraud litigation out of the firm’s New York office, bringing deep experience from her tenure at the SEC. As Co-Regional Trial Counsel for the SEC’s New York Regional Office, she led a team of 16 trial attorneys in high-profile cases involving accounting fraud, insider trading, and broker-dealer misconduct. Preethi also played key roles in landmark trials involving RenaissanceRe’s former CEO and Archegos Capital Management. Her work earned her the SEC’s prestigious Phillip A. Loomis, Jr. Award for outstanding legal scholarship and draftsmanship.
