As part of its “Elite Trial Lawyers” special feature, The National Law Journal (“NLJ”) has named BLB&G the winner of its “Financial Institutions” category for its success in prosecuting securities cases arising from the financial crisis. BLB&G is one of a handful firms nationwide recognized for their excellence in a particular practice area.
BLB&G’s was again selected for the NLJ’s 2016 “Elite Trial Lawyers,” a recognition it has received every year since the list’s inception. NLJ ranks the top plaintiff firms in the nation who have obtained high-dollar recoveries and done “some of the most creative and significant work” for their clients. Among the qualifications required for selection, firms must devote at least 50 percent of their litigation resources to plaintiffs work, have a “significant win” in a bench or jury trial or in a major settlement, and have “an impressive track record of wins within the past three to five years.”
According to NLJ, the category finalists and winners were selected after “thorough research, analysis and nomination vetting,” which were reviewed for accuracy and performance by reporters and editors at The National Law Journal and law.com. A full report on the honorees—including all the winners and finalists—will be published by NLJ in December. Honorees will be recognized at a dinner in New York City on Dec. 6.
