BLB&G Partner Li Yu Recognized with Asian Leadership Award by Profiles in Leadership Journal

Li Yu, a partner in BLB&G’s New York office, has been recognized with the Asian Leadership Award in the 2026 mid-year issue of the Profiles in Leadership Journal. This award honors distinguished Asian professionals whose dedication to excellence and service sets them apart within their organizations.

At BLB&G, Li specializes in complex litigation, including healthcare and financial fraud. He previously served as Assistant U.S. Attorney and Senior Counsel for the Civil Fraud Unit at the Southern District of New York, where he led landmark qui tam and False Claims Act cases, securing settlements exceeding $800 million and authored briefs clarifying Medicare Advantage fraud legal standards. Returning to private practice in 2023, Li has achieved significant victories for qui tam whistleblowers and successfully litigated investor and PPP fraud litigation.

Outside of his legal practice, Li contributes as an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School and actively engages in professional and community organizations. His insights have been featured in prominent legal publications like Law360, and he frequently collaborates with colleagues on impactful articles, including his recent work in The New York Law Journal.

Li’s accomplishments have also earned recognition among Lawdragon’s 2026 “500 Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyers” alongside fellow BLB&G partners and special governance counsel.
