The Wall Street Journal Profiles Sean Coffey

Former BLB&G partner John P. "Sean" Coffey, lead trial counsel for the investor class in In re WorldCom, Inc. Securities Litigation, was the subject of a feature story in the May 5, 2005 issue of The Wall Street Journal.

The Journal article, "Lawyer Coffey Is Battle Proven; His Next Big Target: HealthSouth," discusses aspects of both Mr. Coffey's personal history and professional standing.  It also details how Mr. Coffey's trial experience and aggressive trial tactics and litigation strategy were key to obtaining the exceptional result in the WorldCom case - a record-breaking $6.128 billion in recoveries for investors.  According to the Journal, the case has "shaken Wall Street, the audit profession and corporate boardrooms."
