In early March, BLB&G celebrated women’s international legal efforts as a proud supporter and co-sponsor of the New York City Bar Association's 5th Annual International Law Conference on the Status of Women.

BLB&G senior counsel Catherine van Kampen was integral to the event’s success, spearheading the planning and organizing, and providing the conference’s opening remarks. BLB&G partner Hannah Ross introduced the keynote speaker, Judge Esther Salas of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, who gave a moving speech regarding her advocacy for legislation to protect judges and their families. BLB&G partner Rebecca Boon received a Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of her work as a founding member and the chairperson of Beyond #MeToo: A Working Group on Corporate Governance, Compliance, and Risk.

Over 200 people gathered together for this important event, including federal and state judges, law clerks, past and present bar association presidents, academics and law school deans, and executives from nonprofit organizations. Representing the firm were Hannah Ross, Rebecca Boon, Katie Sinderson, Lauren Ormsbee, Veronica V. Montenegro, Catherine van Kampen, Brittney Balser, and Catherine Blessing.
