On January 28th, 2021 Rebecca Boon moderated the Beyond #MeToo working group's event “#MeToo in the Corporate World." The event featured a conversation with Sylvia Ann Hewlett, author of #MeToo in the Corporate World: Power, Privilege and the Path Forward, and experts Kennedy Ihezie, Senior Director, Global Inclusion & Equity at AIG; Judge Barbara Jones, Former SDNY Judge and Bracewell LLP Partner; and Brande Stellings, Expert on Women’s Advancement and Workplace Inclusion and Principal at Vestry Laight.
The group, co-founded by BLB&G’s Rebecca Boon and Alla Zayenchik, among others, is dedicated to understanding the root causes of workplace harassment, discrimination, and misconduct; tracking and constructively utilizing the insights gained through the #MeToo movement; and helping to create the optimal corporate compliance and management structures that prevent workplace misconduct and abuses of power.
