On Saturday November 6, 2010, BLB&G participated in a friendly game of touch football at the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Gridiron Games, held at the New Meadowlands Stadium - home to the N.Y. Giants and Jets. Represented by members from various departments within the firm, BLB&G was one of 14 New York City law firms participating in the tournament. The BLB&G athletes included Chris Altiery, Michael Blatchley, Nick DeFilippis, Jeremy Friedman, David Steacie and Ross Shikowitz.
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City is to provide mentors to all children who need caring adult role models - special friends who can help expand their horizons, realize their potential and enrich their futures - changing their lives. All proceeds from the Gridiron Games went to the continuing support of the mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC.
