National Law Journal’s Annual “Plaintiffs’ Hot List” Ranks BLB&G Among Top Plaintiff Firms for Fifth Consecutive Year

October 2008

The National Law Journal (“NLJ”) has once again named BLB&G to their prestigious “Plaintiffs’ Hot List” of the leading firms in the country practicing predominantly plaintiff law.  BLB&G is widely recognized as one of the leading litigation boutiques in the U.S. and is one of only four firms in the nation to be named to the NLJ “Hot List” these five consecutive years.

In its annual survey of the “country’s most impressive plaintiff’s firms,” NLJ praises BLB&G for recovering more than $13 billion for institutional investors during the past six years, while also giving mention to the firm’s recent involvement "in numerous lawsuits emanating from the U.S. subprime mortgage debacle."  In commenting on the success of the plaintiffs’ firms in recent years and the upward trend of new cases being filed in the midst of the credit crisis, NLJ quotes partner Jerry Silk as saying, “This is the time when as an investor—institutional or individual—you really appreciate that there are legal remedies in our country.”
