BLB&G Managing Directors Catherine van Kampen and Catherine Blessing to Speak at 2026 NYSBA Leadership Academy

BLB&G Managing Director of Staff Attorneys and Senior Counsel Catherine van Kampen and Managing Director of Human Resources Catherine Blessing will be featured speakers at the 2026 New York State Bar Leadership Academy on May 5 in New York. They will contribute to engaging discussions on the NYSBA’s Five Pillars of Leadership, including: Leader Identity, Leadership Impact, Strategic Thinking, People Management, and Personal Productivity, Self-care and Peak Performance.

Catherine van Kampen manages BLB&G’s staff attorneys and has extensive experience in complex litigation and settlement administration. She has earned numerous honors for her international pro bono work advocating for immigrant and refugee women and children, including recognition as a Global Goals Ambassador by the United Nations Association of the USA. Catherine is also an active leader in legal organizations, serving on advisory boards and committees focused on advancing leadership, human rights, and gender equity.

Catherine Blessing leads all aspects of human resources for the BLB&G’s attorneys and professional staff. In addition to overseeing the acquisition and professional development of the firm’s talent, Catherine is responsible for managing the firm’s benefits programs, performance management, compensation planning, employee engagement, and onboarding. She also runs the firm’s summer associate program and administers the firm’s administrative, facilities, and office services support functions.
