BLB&G Partner Jorge Tenreiro to Speak at the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association’s 2025 Lavender Law® Conference & Career Fair

BLB&G Partner Jorge Tenreiro will serve as Co-Chair of the Finance Law Institute and panel moderator at the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association’s 2025 Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair in New York on July 30.

Jorge will lead a group of esteemed professionals in a panel discussion titled “Crypto Assets and the Law – Regulatory and Legal Developments Under the New Administration,” exploring the rapidly evolving crypto asset regulatory landscape. The panel will address key topics, including the SEC’s Crypto Task Force, recent statements on meme coins and stablecoins, the DOJ’s shift from “regulation by prosecution,” and major legislative initiatives like the CLARITY and GENIUS Acts. The discussion aims to provide practical guidance for legal professionals advising on digital assets and insights into the future of crypto regulation.

Jorge is a leading authority on federal civil litigation, particularly in the crypto asset and cyber sectors. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Chief Litigation Counsel at the SEC, where he spearheaded groundbreaking cases against high-profile entities like Sam Bankman-Fried, Terraform Labs, and Binance. Outside the courtroom, Jorge contributes to the legal community as a speaker, lecturer, and active member of professional associations, including the Hispanic National Bar Association’s planning committee and the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York’s judiciary committee.
