BLB&G Partners Anya Freedman and Christopher Orrico will speak on a panel titled “Corporate Governance Litigation: A Fiduciary Framework” as part of the SACRS Spring Conference in Rancho Mirage, California, on May 15. Alongside esteemed professionals, Anya and Christopher will examine strategies for evaluating, investigating, and leading corporate governance actions to ensure corporate fiduciaries are held accountable and maximize shareholder value. They will highlight cases that demonstrate the impact of pension system leadership and recommend ways to improve board policies and operational practices.
Anya advises BLB&G’s institutional investor clients on fiduciary law and governance matters. Bringing insights gained as general counsel to public pension funds, she empowers leaders to build best-in-class policies and make sound strategic decisions in securities and corporate governance litigation.
Christopher focuses on breach of fiduciary duty litigation against boards and executives as part of the firm's Corporate Governance practice. He has played a leading role in recovering hundreds of millions of dollars for investors and upholding shareholder rights in high-profile cases such as In re Mindbody, Inc. Stockholders Litigation and In re Columbia Pipeline Group, Inc., among others.
