BLB&G Partner Anya Freedman was a featured speaker at the National Council on Teacher Retirement’s 104th Annual Conference in Coeur d’Alene. She participated in a panel discussion, “Let’s Party Like It’s 2002: Are U.S. Markets Becoming Too Unregulated?,” which examined the risks facing investors as federal policymakers propose rolling back key investor protections. Anya offered practical guidance to pension fiduciaries seeking to safeguard beneficiaries from mounting risks.
Anya is based in BLB&G’s Los Angeles office and leads the firm’s Fiduciary and Governance Advisory Group. She advises institutional investors—including public pension funds, Taft-Hartley funds, and asset managers—on fiduciary law, governance, and portfolio monitoring, equipping them to pursue strategic litigation to recover losses resulting from fraud and other corporate misconduct.
