BLB&G partner Max Berger participated as a panelist for the CLE program presented by the Practising Law Institute (PLI) entitled, “Securities Litigation & Enforcement Institute 2010," joining an expert faculty of SEC officials, federal prosecutors, and judges.
As a member of the “Today’s Securities Litigation Frontier – Plaintiff and Defense Perspectives” panel, Mr. Berger participated alongside other esteemed professionals in the field, discussing the financial crisis and the securities litigation landscape, including the challenges faced by foreign plaintiffs and the recent landmark Supreme Court decision in Merck which addressed the standard governing statute of limitations in securities fraud suits. The program also featured other topics, including corporate governance and government initiatives in securities litigation.
