BLB&G Partners Jim Harrod and John Rizio-Hamilton have been honored by Law360 as 2026 MVPs, joining a select group of attorneys recognized nationwide. Jim was selected for the second time as one of only six attorneys selected in the Securities category, while John was recognized for the first time as one of only four attorneys in the Class Action category. The awards highlight their significant contributions to the firm’s securities litigation practice and the broader field of securities class action litigation.

Jim focuses his practice on representing the firm’s institutional investor clients in securities fraud-related matters. He leads the firm’s Global Securities and Litigation Monitoring Team, which monitors securities actions around the world and advises BLB&G’s institutional clients on potential avenues for recovery in those actions. Jim has litigated many of BLB&G’s most significant securities fraud actions, including serving as a leader of the BLB&G team that recovered over $2 billion for 35 institutions that invested in the Allianz Structured Alpha Funds and playing a key role in the case team that secured a $190 million recovery in the securities fraud case against Motorola.

John is a BLB&G Executive Committee member and serves as Co-Head of the firm’s Securities Litigation Department. Widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading shareholder litigators, John has recovered billions of dollars for investors and has played a pivotal role in several landmark cases, including leading the trial team in the Signet Jewelers Securities Litigation ($240 million recovery), playing a critical role in the Bank of America Securities Litigation, ($2.425 billion recovery), and serving as counsel on behalf of institutional investor plaintiffs in the Citigroup Bond Litigation ($730 million recovery).
