Margaret Rockey, an associate in BLB&G’s corporate governance & shareholder rights practice, litigates shareholder actions on behalf of the firm’s clients in Delaware and nationwide. She practices out of the firm’s Delaware office.
Before joining BLB&G, Margaret served as an associate at Richards, Layton & Finger, where she focused her practice on litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery and Delaware Supreme Court involving corporate governance, fiduciary duties, mergers and acquisitions, contractual disputes, and other commercial matters.
Margaret received her J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law. She received her B.A. from Whitman College. While in law school, Margaret served as an editor on both the Iowa Law Review and the Journal of Gender, Race & Justice. She was also elected class representative to the Iowa Student Bar Association and competed on the Baskerville moot court team. She also worked as a tutor in the Legal Writing and Academic Success Center, designing curricula and teaching legal writing skills to students. Prior to law school, Margaret taught communications courses and coached the debate team at Western Washington University.
