Julissa Ramirez practices out of the firm’s New York office, prosecuting securities fraud, corporate governance, and shareholder rights litigation on behalf of the firm’s institutional investor clients.

Prior to joining BLB&G, Julissa was selected to participate in BLB&G’s 2024 Summer Associate Program. She previously managed the paralegal team for the humanitarian unit at The Law Offices of Janell Freeman, PC, where she conducted legal research and prepared documentation for family-based, humanitarian, and special immigrant juvenile visas. Her experience also includes serving as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Justice Joshua Groban of the Supreme Court of California and Judge Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of California.

Julissa received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she contributed to Berkeley Law’s Ninth Circuit Practicum, briefing and arguing a pro bono case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, receiving her B.A. with dual majors in Psychology and Chicana/o Studies and a minor in Political Science.
