Jarett Sena prosecutes securities fraud, corporate governance, and shareholder rights litigation on behalf of the firm’s institutional investor clients. As a member of the firm’s case development and client advisory group, Jarett advises Taft-Hartley pension funds, public pension funds, and other institutional investors on potential legal claims. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Before joining BLB&G, Jarett served as Senior Counsel at DiCello Levitt LLP, where he specialized in litigating, evaluating, and developing securities litigation, as well as other complex class actions. Previously, he was Director of Litigation Analysis at Institutional Shareholder Services, Inc., Securities Class Action Services (ISS SCAS), where he provided legal guidance to some of the world’s largest asset managers, pension funds, hedge funds, and wealth management firms on securities, antitrust, and global opt-in litigation. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Allison E. Accurso in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.
Jarett has published numerous pieces of thought leadership on legal issues impacting institutional investors, including co-authoring the white paper titled Participating in Securities Collective Actions Outside the US: Are Adverse Costs Worth the Risk?, and presenting at webinars on The Role of the Investor in Securities Class Actions, Navigating Class Actions in Europe, and Developing Litigation Strategies.
Recognized as a top “Securities Litigation—Plaintiff” attorney by the Legal 500, Jarett is strongly committed to pro bono work. He helped secure asylum for a father and son forcibly separated at the border and has earned recognition as part of the Newark’s office Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) 2021 Pro Bono Team of the Year.
Jarett earned his J.D., cum laude, from Fordham Law School and holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
