BLB&G Partner Tom James Speaks at Boston College Law School

BLB&G Partner Tom James served as a guest lecturer at Boston College Law School on November 12. He joined Professor Brian Quinn’s course “Corporations,” providing an overview of corporation law, with a focus on governance structures and the distribution of power and responsibilities among shareholders, directors, and officers.

Tom prosecutes corporate governance and fiduciary duty litigation for the firm’s institutional investor clients. He has extensive experience in the Delaware Court of Chancery and is a key litigator for SPAC cases. Tom has played key roles in notable corporate governance cases, including the CVR Refining class action concerning a minority shareholder squeeze-out and the successful challenge to a novel poison pill adopted by the board of pipeline giant The Williams Companies. He is also a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at Boston College Law School, Harvard Law School, and Villanova Law School regarding issues in corporate law and M&A.

Tom was profiled by Law360 as a 2025 “Rising Star” for his leadership in landmark securities litigation and corporate governance cases.
