BLB&G Partner Rebecca Boon to Speak at PLI Event “ESG 2023: What It Means for Boards, Management, and Counsel”

On June 20, 2023, BLB&G Partner Rebecca Boon will be a featured speaker at PLI’s event “ESG 2023: What It Means for Boards, Management, and Counsel.” Along with other prominent attorneys, Rebecca will discuss “Building an Effective Corporate Governance Strategy and Managing Employees, Activists, and Shareholders,” helping participants to, among other things:

  • Describe new developments and trends in the past 12 months
  • Understand and define strategies for Board composition, including in terms of diversity
  • Evaluate financial, reputational, and litigation risks posed by the company’s business, products, strategies, and/or public statements/positions
  • Identify best practices for engaging with employees, activists, and stakeholders.

PLI’s one-day program will address the relationship of ESG to long-term value creation, the duties of directors with respect to ESG initiatives, the drivers of corporate adoption of ESG measures, ESG frameworks and standards, and best practices for ESG governance. It is a must for CEOs, General Counsel, Board members, shareholders, and lawyers advising those parties.

Rebecca regularly lectures at law schools, universities, and conferences in the U.S. and abroad on the topics of ESG, social change, sexual harassment, and shareholder litigation.
