As a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, ESG initiatives have received heightened awareness as businesses, investors, governments, and other constituencies focus more energy and attention on health, safety, and sustainability issues.
David Wales will be a featured panelist at the Practising Law Institute’s one-day program on the assessment and management of environment, social, and governance risks and opportunities, called, ESG 2020 – What It Means for Boards, Management, and Counsel. The online event will be covering a wide range of questions and topics through several different panels, including how companies can effectively address ESG risks and opportunities to how companies can address growing pressure to articulate and implement a social purpose.
David will be speaking on the 1:00pm EDT panel, “Building an Effective Corporate Governance Strategy and Managing Employees, Activists, and Shareholders.” The hour-long panel will cover defining corporate strategy for long-term sustainability and growth, board oversight of business risks and sustainability and more.
