David Wales Participates in 2018 PLUS D&O Symposium

On February 1, 2018, BLB&G partner David Wales participated in the 2018 PLUS D&O Symposium at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City as a speaker on the “Headline Today, Claim tomorrow” panel. On the panel, he joined other experts and defense counsel to discuss the evolving role of underwriter diligence in vetting corporate responsibility, ethics and governance, and how this has become a significant consideration in securities litigation.
One of the leaders of the firm’s Corporate Governance litigation practice, Mr. Wales prosecutes a variety of derivative, class, and private litigation arising from breaches of fiduciary duty and other misconduct by boards of directors and senior executives at public companies. He is an experienced trial attorney who has recovered billions of dollars on behalf of his institutional investor clients. A former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Mr. Wales has tried numerous cases both as a prosecutor and in private practice.
