Jeroen van Kwawegen Discusses the Evolving State of Corporate Governance at TBLI Conference

BLB&G associate Jeroen van Kwawegen participated as a speaker at the TBLI Conference Europe 2011, which was held in London on November 10-11, 2011.  His presentation, which was featured as part of the Corporate Governance and Integrity Workshop, focused on the evolving state of corporate governance in the US and how it compares and contrasts with the EU and UK.

Mr. Kwawegen has litigated a wide array of securities class actions, derivative actions, and breach of fiduciary duty actions, including: In re Wachovia Corp. Securities Litigation ($627 million recovery); Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. Mortgage Pass-Through Litigation ($315 million recovery); and Hughes v. Huron Consulting Group, Inc. ($38 million recovery).  He was also a member of the team that prosecuted and achieved unprecedented corporate governance improvements in the Pfizer Derivative Litigation, the Landry’s going-private litigation, and In re ACS Shareholders Litigation, among others.
