BLB&G partners Mark Lebovitch and Hannah Ross participated in the 7th Annual National Directors & Officers Liability Insurance ExecuSummit, which was held May 10-11, 2011 in Uncasville, CT.
Mr. Lebovitch joined the panel entitled "Securities Litigation Update," where he discussed recent trends in securities litigation. Ms. Ross participated in a panel entitled, "The Role of Mediation in the D&O Claims Resolution Process."
Mr. Lebovitch is primarily responsible for the firm's corporate governance litigation practice, focusing on derivative suits and transactional litigation. He has served as lead counsel in many of the most significant corporate governance actions of the past five years, and is currently serving as a co-lead counsel prosecuting challenges to a management buyout of J. Crew, a private equity buyout of Novell, and derivative suits alleging bad faith conduct by the boards of Johnson & Johnson, BP, plc, and Massey Corporation.
Ms. Ross is involved in a variety of the firm's litigation practice areas, focusing in particular on securities fraud, corporate governance, shareholder rights and other complex commercial matters. She has over a decade of experience as a civil and criminal litigator, and has represented the firm's institutional investor clients as counsel in a number of major pending actions, including In re The Mills Corporation Securities Litigation, In re Delphi Corporation Securities Litigation, In re Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. Derivative Litigation, In re Nortel Networks Corporation Securities Litigation and In re OM Group, Inc. Securities Litigation.
