BLB&G Partner Lauren Ormsbee to Serve as Moderator at the ABA 2024 ILS Annual Conference

On May 10, BLB&G partner Lauren Ormsbee will serve as a moderator at the American Bar Association 2024 International Law Section Annual Conference. Lauren will lead a panel titled “Investors Rights and Shareholder Litigation Primer for U.S. Capital Markets.”

Joined by legal and research professionals, Lauren will guide the conversation on protecting investor rights by reviewing the fundamentals of U.S. shareholder litigation. Topics include the U.S. Securities Laws and the evolution of investor rights, the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 and the key legal burdens and challenges facing litigants in the U.S. courts.

The panel features an esteemed group of experts, including Molly J. Bowen (Partner, CohenMilstein), Brian Fryd (Cornerstone Research), Trace Schmeltz (Partner – Co-Chair, Financial & Regulatory Litigation, Barnes & Thornburg, LLP), and Joseph S. Simms (Partner, Reminger Law).

Lauren practices out of BLB&G's New York office, focusing on complex commercial and securities litigation. She has successfully prosecuted major litigations, obtaining hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries on behalf of the firm’s clients. She is recognized among the “500 Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyer” by Lawdragon.
