On April 2, 2024, BLB&G partner Lauren Ormsbee will serve as an expert panelist at the Women in Securities Litigation Network’s latest event, speaking on “Trends in Securities Litigation.” Lauren will join accomplished women from across the securities litigation field, ranging from the plaintiff’s bar, defense bar, and an economic expert consulting firm, to discuss the industry's latest developments as well as new research focused on securities filings and settlements.
The Women in Securities Litigation (“WSL”) Network was formed in 2021 and designed to facilitate mentoring, networking, collaboration, and referrals among women who practice in the securities litigation field. The organization serves as an invaluable resource for women to collaborate with one another across the country.
Lauren practices out of BLB&G's New York office, focusing on complex commercial and securities litigation. Representing institutional and private investors in a variety of class and direct actions involving securities fraud and other fiduciary violations, she has successfully prosecuted multiple major litigations obtaining hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries on behalf of the firm’s clients. In addition to her litigation responsibilities at the firm, Lauren frequently speaks at bar association and industry events.
