Max Berger Quoted in National Law Journal Coverage of Rising Settlement Values In Securities Class Actions

March 14, 2005

Max Berger, senior partner of BLB&G, has successfully litigated the largest securities class action recoveries in history - including the over $6 billion recovery from the third party defendants in WorldCom and the over $3 billion recovery in Cendant.

In its March 14, 2005 issue, the National Law Journal featured commentary by Mr. Berger in an article regarding the recent increase in the number of securities class actions filed and the rising value of securities settlements.

In “Record Securities Settlements - High Mark of $5.5B In 2004; Up From $2B In 2003,” Mr. Berger stated, “Corporate fraud is here to stay.  It just seems like no matter what the law is, there are those who are constantly looking for ways to steal investors’ money.  Greed is palpable in public companies and in those who advise them, so there is no letup.”

BLB&G has obtained the four of the seven largest securities recoveries in history.
