Jeroen van Kwawegen Discusses Civil Procedure at the University of Groningen

BLB&G associate Jeroen van Kwawegen participated as a featured speaker at the “Corporate Game” Conference, sponsored by the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, on April 13, 2011.  His presentation outlined and explained civil procedure in U.S. securities litigation.

Mr. Kwawegen has litigated a wide array of securities class actions, derivative actions, and breach of fiduciary duty actions, including: In re Wachovia Corp. Securities Litigation ($627 million recovery); Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. Mortgage Pass-Through Litigation ($315 million recovery); and Hughes v. Huron Consulting Group, Inc. ($38 million recovery).  He was also a member of the team that prosecuted and achieved unprecedented corporate governance improvements in the Pfizer Derivative Litigation, the Landry’s going-private litigation, and In re ACS Shareholders Litigation, among others.
