New York Law Journal has named BLB&G partner Adam Wierzbowski as one of its Rising Stars for 2019. Mr. Wierzbowski joins an illustrious group of the best and brightest in New York’s legal community who are recognized as “the region’s most promising lawyers 40 and younger by the date of submission.”
Mr. Wierzbowski has represented investors and other plaintiffs in numerous complex litigations that include securities class actions and derivative suits. Mr. Wierzbowski was a senior member of the team that recovered over $1.06 billion on behalf of investors in In re Merck Vioxx Securities Litigation – among the 15 largest recoveries of all time, and the largest securities recovery ever achieved against a pharmaceutical company. Most recently, Mr. Wierzbowski was a senior member of the team that obtained $480 million for investors in the securities class action against Wells Fargo & Co. related to its fake accounts scandal.
Mr. Wierzbowski, along with this year’s other winners, will be recognized in the New York Law Journal’s upcoming Professional Excellence magazine and honored on October 23rd at the New York Legal Awards at Tribeca 360 in New York City.
