In recognition of its recent wins and “impressive record of success,” The National Law Journal (“NLJ”) has profiled BLB&G as a winner of its “Securities Litigation” category as part of its “Elite Trial Lawyers” special feature.  The Elite Trial Lawyers list is the result of a survey conducted by The National Law Journal every few years to identify the top Plaintiffs’ firm in the US, recognizing firms with major recent wins and “impressive record of success within the past three to five years.”

The profile highlighted BLB&G’s litigation against Wells Fargo arising from the its unauthorized  accounts scandal, in which $480 million was recovered for the bank’s investors.  Partners Gerald Silk and Salvatore Graziano credit the “extraordinary efforts of our client, Union Asset Management Holding, AG as well as the litigation team at our firm that worked tirelessly to develop and execute a sophisticated litigation strategy that resulted in a meaningful recovery for the class.”

Messrs. Silk and Graziano also comment on what they believe to be crucial factors in leading a successful litigation.  In addition to acknowledging the need for a stellar litigation team that is “creative, coordinated and well-organized,” they also provide that “one can never underestimate the importance of knowing the weakness in one’s own case and using that understanding to build the strongest case possible.  Most importantly, acting with the utmost integrity—with the court, one’s team and an adversary—is a necessity.”
