The Legal 500 USA Guide ("Legal 500"), an independent legal referral guide that ranks firms and individuals on merit, has once again recognized BLB&G as the top firm for the practice area "Litigation - Mass tort and class action: plaintiff representation - securities." Since the inception of the Legal 500 five years ago, BLB&G has been named the leading firm in this practice area.
According to the guide, BLB&G "remains a dominant force in securities class actions," taking on "heavyweights such as Lehman Brothers Holdings and Citigroup." The guide also credits the firm for obtaining $189.5 million and $125 million in recoveries in cases against Refco Inc. and New Century Financial, respectively.
Individually, the guide recognized BLB&G partner Max Berger and former partner Steven Singer as "Leading Lawyers" in the field of plaintiffs' securities litigation - two of only six lawyers selected. Legal 500 also noted that both Messrs. Berger and Singer, as well as fellow partner Salvatore Graziano, "are all recommended."
