National legal periodical Lawdragon has once again named BLB&G partners Max Berger and Jerry Silk to its list of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America ("500"). The list, which features "the most interesting and diversely talented lawyers in the world," represents less than 1% of the legal profession. Selection is based on a combination of written submissions, online votes, and editorial research by Lawdragon.
Lawdragon praises Mr. Berger for his continued success in setting "the standard for plaintiff-side class actions through his stewardship of a firm that plays leading roles in the biggest cases." The publication also identifies Mr. Silk as a "star of the securities bar," who is "taking on all major banks" by representing investors who fell victim to fraud related to mortgage backed securities and collateralized debt obligations.
In conjunction with the publication of its 500, Lawdragon also released the Lawdragon 3000, which is a compilation of all attorneys who endorsed "excellence" and who were considered "finalists" for the 500. Along with Mr. Berger and Mr. Silk, other BLB&G finalists include partners Salvatore Graziano, Mark Lebovitch, and former partner Steven Singer.
