In its special supplement "Winning," the National Law Journal profiles BLB&G partner Max Berger and former partner Sean Coffey."Winning" is a special section on successful strategies from the nation's top litigators. It features attorneys chosen for their "history of success" and the fact that they have "recently won career-making cases." Mr. Coffey and Mr. Berger are two of only eleven attorneys to be selected nationwide.
Among other recent successful prosecutions, the profile discussed the roles and strategies by Mr. Berger and Mr. Coffey as Lead Counsel for the Class in the record-breaking $6.128 billion recovery for investors in the In re WorldCom, Inc. Securities Litigation.
Mr. Berger, Mr. Coffey and their prosecution of WorldCom were also the subjects of "The Kings of Class Actions," a May 16, 2005 feature story in BusinessWeek magazine.
