Steven Singer Discusses Implications of the Janus Capital Group Supreme Court Decision at Law Seminars International TeleBriefing

BLB&G partner Steven Singer participated as a featured speaker as part of the TeleBriefing program sponsored by Law Seminars International (LSI) entitled, "Janus Capital Group v. First Derivative Trader," which was held on July 14, 2011. 

Mr. Singer joined the panel of expert legal practitioners to discuss the recent decision and its implications for how Rule 10b-5 cases will be litigated in the future, not only in private plaintiff class actions, but also in SEC and criminal proceedings.

Mr. Singer has been the lead partner responsible for prosecuting a number of the most significant and high-profile securities cases in the country, including recent cases against Mills Corporation ($202 million settlement), WellCare Health Plans ($200 million settlement) and Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (partial settlements in excess of $150 million), among many others. He is currently prosecuting securities class actions against Bank of America, Citigroup, Lehman Brothers, and MBIA.
