Sal Graziano Discusses the Subprime Meltdown at the Reuters Housing Summit

February 19, 2008

BLB&G partner Salvatore Graziano was featured as an expert speaker at the Reuters Housing Summit, held on February 19, 2008, in New York City.  As a panelist in Reuters’ Summit format, Mr. Graziano answered direct questions from an audience of journalists relating to the subprime meltdown, its impact on the financial sector, and the legal implications related to the crisis.  According to Mr. Graziano, lawsuits over losses related to subprime mortgage loans are expected to last for years, judging by the volume of cases filed since the crisis hit.

Mr. Graziano’s practice focuses primarily on securities fraud class actions.  He is also one of the partners who oversees the Firm’s Subprime Litigation Practice Group, which serves to protect and vindicate shareholder and consumer rights arising from the mortgage and mortgage-based security debt crisis.  He is currently lead counsel in investor class actions against subprime mortgage originators Fremont General Corporation and New Century Financial Corporation.
