Blair Nicholas Discusses Portfolio Monitoring and Asset Recovery at Public Fund Boards Forum

BLB&G Partner Blair Nicholas spoke at the 16th Annual Public Fund Boards Forum, sponsored by the Institute for International Research on December 11, 2007, in San Francisco, California.

As a featured speaker at the Forum, Mr. Nicholas discussed the importance of portfolio monitoring and asset recovery options as means for maintaining fiduciary responsibilities of pension fund administrators.

Mr. Nicholas has represented many of the firm’s public pension and institutional investor clients in a variety of high-profile actions.  He served as one of the lead trial counsel in In re Clarent Corporation Securities Litigation, a securities fraud class action resulting in a four week jury trial, in which he delivered the closing a argument, resulting in a verdict in favor of investors against the former Chief Executive Officer of Clarent.  Additionally, he was one of the principal attorneys responsible for prosecuting the In re Williams Securities Litigation, a securities fraud class action that recently settled shortly before trial for $311 million.
