BLB&G Senior Counsel Jai Chandrasekhar to Speak at Annual Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies Conference

On November 30, 2023, BLB&G Senior Counsel Jai Chandrasekhar will speak for the fourth time at the annual Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies conference held in Manila, the Philippines. The APAFS represents public and private institutional funds from around the Asia Pacific Region. His topic this year is “Misconduct Amidst the Market Turmoil.” Jai will speak about how market turbulence often results in revelations of previously concealed frauds, and how companies’ violations of environmental, social, governance, and diversity laws and policies harm their investors and can be addressed through securities litigation and shareholder derivative suits.

Jai prosecutes securities fraud litigation for the firm's institutional-investor clients. He has been a member of the litigation teams on many of the firm's high-profile securities cases, including In re Schering-Plough Corp./ENHANCE Securities Litigation ($473 million settlement); In re Refco, Inc. Securities Litigation (multiple settlements totaling $367.3 million); In re MF Global Holdings Ltd. Securities Litigation (multiple settlements totaling $234.3 million). Jai is also a member of the firm’s Global Securities and Litigation Monitoring Team.
