Blair Nicholas Named One of the "Top 50 Litigators Under 45" in the U.S. by The American Lawyer
In their January 2007 issue, The American Lawyer named BLB&G Partner Blair Nicholas to its list of the “Fab Fifty Young Litigators” in the country. The list represents lawyers under the age of 45 “who have made their marks in famously competitive practice areas…and are expected to lead the field for years to come.” These rising stars were carefully selected on the basis of their “zeal for the work and a ferocious desire to succeed no matter the obstacle faced.”
Mr. Nicholas has represented many of the firm’s public pension and institutional investor clients in a variety of high-profile actions. He served as one of the lead trial counsel in In re Clarent Corporation Securities Litigation, a securities fraud class action resulting in a four week jury trial, in which he delivered the closing argument, resulting in a verdict in favor of investors against the former Chief Executive Officer of Clarent.
Additionally, Mr. Nicholas was one of the principal attorneys responsible for prosecuting the In re Williams Securities Litigation, a securities fraud class action that recently settled shortly before trial for $311 million. Mr. Nicholas has also prosecuted and successfully resolved a number of high-profile securities class actions.
