BLB&G Partner Sean Coffey will give a keynote address to over 2,200 attendees from
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners as a keynote speaker at its 19th Annual
Fraud Conference and Exhibition, to be held in Boston, Massachusetts on July 13 – 18, 2008.
Mr. Coffey will join the ranks of other prominent keynote speakers, who include
Senator Paul Sarbanes, Representative Michael Oxley, Rudolph Giuliani, Ben Stein, and
former Attorney General William Barr.
Mr. Coffey has litigated many high-profile actions, including
In re WorldCom,
Inc. Securities Litigation in which he served as lead trial counsel for the
investor Class. The WorldCom settlement of nearly $6.15 billion included an
unprecedented $24.75 million personal payment by the company's former outside
directors -- nearly 20% of the collective net worth of these individuals. Mr.
Coffey currently serves as court-appointed Lead Counsel representing investors
in the Omnicom,
HealthSouth,
Merck,
Refco,
Delphi, and
Converium litigations, and
copyright holders in the Premier League v. YouTube class action.
