On June 14, 2007, BLB&G
announced a settlement on behalf of its client
and Lead Plaintiff, the Louisiana Municipal Police Employees'
Retirement System ("LAMPERS"), in the shareholder class action against the
Chicago Board of Trade Holdings, Inc. ("CBOT").
The settlement was reached when the Chicago Mercantile
Exchange Holdings Inc. ("CME") enhanced its buyout offer by
agreeing to pay a special cash dividend of $9.14 per share to
CBOT shareholders, which provides at least $475 million in
additional consideration on top of the additional $1 billion
included in the earlier CME increase to its offer. On July 9, 2007, the CBOT shareholders approved the CME merger.
