David Stickney Discusses Securities Litigation Trends at PLI’s
Securities Litigation and Enforcement Institute 2006

David Stickney participated in a panel discussion regarding the latest developments
in securities litigation, case law, and enforcement initiatives at the Securities
Litigation and Enforcement Institute 2006 program. The program, sponsored by the
Practicing Law Institute ("PLI"), was held in San Francisco on September 11-12, 2006.
The panel discussed various issues regarding securities litigation trends, including
the recent SEC enforcement initiatives, strategies for prosecuting fraud action, and
developments in auditor liability. Mr. Stickney drew upon
his extensive experience in contributing to this discussion.
Mr. Stickney specializes in complex litigation in state and federal courts and has prosecuted,
together with firm partners, many of the firms leading cases, including
In re McKesson
Securities Litigation, in which a partial settlement was reached for $960 million, the
largest recovery for securities class action reached within the Ninth Circuit.
