r. Josefson prosecutes securities fraud litigation for the firm’s institutional investor clients, and has participated in many of the firm’s significant representations, including In re SCOR Holding (Switzerland) AG Securities Litigation, which resulted in a recovery worth in excess of $143 million for investors. He was also a member of the team that litigated the In re OM Group, Inc. Securities Litigation, which resulted in a settlement of $92.4 million. Mr. Josefson is also actively involved in the M&A litigation practice, and represented shareholders in the litigation arising from the proposed acquisitions of Ceridian Corporation and Anheuser-Busch. A member of the Firm’s subprime litigation team, he is currently involved in the securities fraud action arising from the collapse of subprime mortgage lender American Home Mortgage and the actions against Lehman Brothers, Citigroup and Merrill Lynch, arising from those banks' multi-billion dollar loss from mortgage-backed investments. As a member of the firm's new matter department, he counsels institutional clients on potential legal claims. Mr. Josefson has presented argument in several federal and state courts, including an appeal he argued before the Delaware Supreme Court.
Prior to joining BLB&G, Mr. Josefson was a litigation associate at Sachnoff & Weaver in Chicago, where his practice focused on insurance coverage litigation.
